Does taking your BBT help you determine when you have ovulated? Or is it too confusing? I've tried temping a couple of months, but it doesn't seem to work for me. My temps are all over the place.

It works very well. If your doing it correctly it can work wonders. Only took me 2 cycles to become pregnant

Try temping vaginally and make sure is the same time everyday with as close to the same amount of solid sleep as well. 
It works for me to plan to wake up to test then go back to sleep.  I plan on at least 4 hours of sleep and wake up at 8:30 am  (I'm a night owl) test, use the restroom,  and lay back down to sleep. It could take several months to see a pattern.  Fertility friend has some decent videos on what to look for with temping that helped me know what to look for.
