How fast can preeclampsia happen?!

Question

Went to the dr last Wednesday, and my bp was elevated to 144/91... today I feel much more swollen in my hands, feet and face but my bp was 133/81 last night. I'm supposed to start a 24 hour urine test tomorrow but was wondering how fast preeclampsia can happen..

Sometimes it can happen very rapidly, sometimes it can be managed for weeks. It just depends on when they caught it and how fast your body responds to it. Hope everything is okay!

Very very very quickly.... other times it can creep. I have very high bloop pressures 150's/100's and 160's/100's.... been in hospital 4x for it each time collected urine and 3x blood labs... but everything is normal. I'm even on meds for BP. Swollen hands and feet ..

My mother went in for her 35 week check up with my little brother, and it happened right there and then. They checked hers and it was 140/95 and they told her there and then they were taking him out. She had an emergency section later that day. I would have your bag packed and ready to go. Because just like that they can take the baby out, my doctor said the only way to stop it is to deliver the baby! Good luck :)

My BP is high hovering around 140/90. I was put on bed rest last week. My 24 hr urine came back as 258 which is under the 300 needed for a preeclampsia dx. I'm being monitored 2xs weekly now with NST. Have an ultrasound tomorrow to check growth. Plan to induce at around 37 weeks, I'm 35+6 now.
