I've had the nexplanon for about a month now and it was inserted while i still had my period. After my usual five days with Flo i started having a lot of brown spotting and when i had sex it would get red (the blood). Now i dont have any spotting at all. Is this normal? Is it working? Plus i can feel it on my arm.

The implant can cause spotting/irregular bleeding, especially in the first six months. And you're supposed to be able to feel it in your arm!

You should be able to feel it. If you ever don't that means it may have migrated deeper and you should contact your doctor.
While it is very common for people to have increased/almost constant bleeding during the first year on Nexplanon, it can also cause people to stop bleeding altogether. The spotting sounds normal though.
As long as it was implanted correctly, which it sounds like it was, it should be working just fine. If you're worried you should talk to your doctor for more information.
