Do I need to be washing and sterilizing baby bottles?

Do I need to be washing and sterilizing baby bottles before he is born if I plan on breastfeeding? I'm not planning on even having formular in the house they were bought for pumping in the future (if all goes to plan lol) They're still in their boxes!

I just opened the boxes and sterilized them today along with my breast pump attachments. I'm planning on breast feeding but doesn't hurt having them ready, although sterilizing them doesn't take long to do. I doubt you'll need them at the hospital though, they will provide anything you need while you are there.

I sterilized 3 and packed one in my diaper bag although I plan to ebf. Just would rather have one in case

Sterilise when you come home from hospital after delivering and if you don't use them within 24 hours sterilise them when you use them to be safe

I would open one box and have those on hand just in case. That way if you need it, it'll be ready. If you're planning on breastfeeding and you end up needing the bottle, you'll likely already be stressed and having to open and wash/sterilize will just make it worse. Plus you won't know if baby even likes that brand until you try, and I'd hate to have washed them all and not be able to exchange for another brand to try.
