Did you find birthing classes helpful?

I am a ftm and I am trying to decide if I want to do the birthing classes or not I do have to pay for it myself my insurance doesn't cover it. Please tell me your experience with it and if you found it helpful. :)

I took them.with my first, it was helpful but only them teaching you to breathe and focus. Some hospitals offer class for free if not I'm sure YouTube videos would be as beneficial

I'm taking a month-long series right now and I definitely find them helpful. They're taught by the labor nurses at the hospital I'm delivering so they're knowledgeable about the hospital practices, equipment on hand and procedures for everything. It's a great opportunity to ask individual questions as well when you forget something to ask your doctor or want more clarification on.
