positive induction stories??

Question

Anyone have any positive induction stories? I'm likely going to have to have one early next week and am pretty nervous! Would love to hear some stories that didn't include 60hr labor ending in c section 😞

I was induced with my first. They broke my water and started pitocin at 8am. They started it off slow and then it did get cranked up pretty high. I felt contractions, and they were intense, but nothing unbearable to me. They kept offering an epidural but I wanted to do it naturally if I could, and I still felt pretty good. Until about 5pm, then it really hit me and I wanted the epidural, but the anesthesiologist was in surgery and by the time he got out it was too late. But I made it through and my daughter was born at 6:10 pm.  Really only an hour of hard labor and I pushed for less than 15 minutes.

Induced with pitocin, 8 hour labor no pain meds have birth to a 8.1 boy (14 years ago)..... But be prepared if u go natural the pain is worse.

I had the balloon induction, so no drugs. It worked like a charm! I went from a solid 2cm to 7cm when they took it out 12 hours later. Then, after another 10 hours of labor and hour and a half of pushing, my healthy little girl was born. So thankful I didn't have to have pitocin. I honestly doubt I could have done it naturally if I had gotten it

They started my induction with cervidil and my body just sort of took over.  I didn't need pitocin or my water broken.  But we figure my body was already ready and just needed a kick start

I was induced with my first baby. Took 3 attempts but was really good for me resulted in a 3 hour labour. Went from 1cm at 9.30am to him being born at 12.31 :) and I was only 18 no pain relief.

Hoping 2nd time round is just as easy 7 years later eeekk x

I just had my little boy 4/2/17, I was due 4/10/17. I got diagnosed with preeclampsia so I went at 6 pm on a Saturday for them to soften my cervix, and they were going to start pitocin the next morning. Well I get there at 6 pm, my doctor goes to check my cervix before she softens it and I'm already 2-3 cm where a couple days before I was only 1. She goes to take her fingers out of me and POP, there goes my water breaking. So they didn't have to soften my cervix. Labor started, contractions slowly came. They were like bad period cramps but I sortve hummed through them to soothe myself. I wanted to wait until atleast 5 cm for epidural as I heard it can slow down labor if you get it to soon. Like 4 or 5 hours pass and I had been having bad contractions, and she checks me and I'm still only 2-3 cm... contractions are unbearable at this point so I cave in and get the epidural. I'm so glad I did! My labor actually started to go quicker and I fell asleep or 5 hours or so and I was 10 cm by the time I woke up with the urge to poop lol. She wanted me to sit there for a little while even tho I was 10 cm to let the baby come down more on his own that way I wouldn't push forever and wear myself out. The pain of "needing to poop" got so bad I told her I have to push, she looks down there and can see him! So I push for about 30 minutes and there he is. I only had a 1st degree tear. At first during contractions I told my husband we could forget about ever trying for a girl lol. But I ended up having a good experience, and luckily for that epidural, I would do it all over again and will consider trying for a little girl one day.

I have two and they're both pretty much the same. Went in early in the morning, around 6. Started the drip around 8. Dosage was slowly increased throughout the day as my cervix dilated more, I was probably about 1 cm before going in both times. They broke my water both times, kept asking if I wanted the epidural. Which I consistently refused. But I did opt for an IV pain med within an hour of delivery both times (just a dose fed into the IV). I went from about 6 cm to fully dilated in about 30 minutes and started pushing. After about 20 minutes of pushing baby was out and completely safe, 8 lb 1 oz with my first, 8 lb 2 oz with my second. The only thing that happened was my cervix constricted back right as I was about to push and the nurse had to make sure everything was alright so I didn't tear my cervix, only happened with my second. About 7-8 hours of labor each time. No emergency c-section. No overbearing pain.

I went in at midnight  three weeks before my due date I got the foley balloon inserted around 2 am to ripen my cervix. it was removed around 7:30 am which is when I started pitocin. I got my epidural around 3:30 pm which brought my pain from a 7 to a 0. I started pushing around 5:40 pm and she was born 15 minutes later. She was 6 pounds 3 ounces!

I went in the night before so they could insert the medication to thin my cervix. Started pitocin at 6 am. Began pushing at 12:09 pm and baby was born at 12:29pm. Super easy labor and birth. I got an epidural so I hardly had any pain.

I was induced!! 9 hours of labor but I did end up needing a c section because my daughters cord was being pinched and her heart rate started dropping. That's something that really had nothing to do with being induced vs going into labor on my own though!!
