Am I just going crazy?

So I got the IUD recently and literally the day I got it in my boyfriend had sex and he ended up finishing inside of me. Should I be worried about the IUD not working right away and possibly getting pregnant or am I just over reacting with all of this.

Just got mine today and my first question to my Dr was "ok when can I have unprotected sex w my bf?" And she said it's effective immediately so you should be good

I was told Non-Hormobal IUD instantly. Hormonal IUD if inserted within 7 days after the start of your period, immediately. Any other time during your cycle, after 7 days.

My OBGYN said that it depends on when you had your IUD inserted. I didn't have mine inserted while on my period so she said to wait a month before having unprotected sex.

If you got the hormonal iud then it takes a month.....if it copper you're good

It took me like 2 days to do it with my boyfriend just because I was in too much pain at first, but yeah, you should be good. My doctor said it works immediately, she just told me to wait until I healed up because I had numbing injections first.
