cooking for your SO?

Me & my SO moved in with each other a couple months ago & I can cook certain things but sometimes the meals don't come out like I want and I get discouraged ☹️ is there any advice you Ladies or men have ? And is it natural for me to feel this way? We both love to eat and I'm trying to become a better cook for our little family . Any advice or encouragement ? Lol H E L P !

Get on Pinterest, if you don't have a crockpot definitely invest in one. Crock pot meals are great for beginners and also make for quick dinners! Good luck

Practice. You'll get better with time. Also buy some cookbooks and follow the instructions exactly!! I wasn't much a cook when I met my husband, not that I'm a gourmet chef now, but I do pretty well.

Find recipes that don't have very many ingredients and steps, then work your way up. I used to be the lady that couldn't cook something without burning it and now I'm pretty confident in cooking homemade meals and branching out more. Also, get a crockpot!!! They're so easy to use and you can make so many different dishes with them!

Honestly I just look up recipes and go for it! I had a lot of experience when I was younger with cooking southern meals, so I had to find ways to tweak to make a bit healthier

Keep at it and follow recipes to start. I used to love turning on the cooking channel. You learn a lot by watching techniques. Sometimes the recipe is lacking some things that are clear when you watch it.

Don't worry, nobody's perfect! I've been coocking for my family almost every day since I was like 14 (about 12 years now) and still manage to bake the meat too dry or put too much salt on the potatos sometimes 😊

Your coocking will get better the more you do it, and when you're not sure how to make something just look up a recipe. And Maybe you could ask your partner what his favorite meals are so you can practice?
