I went in for an induction on Friday 12am, got the ball rolling

Codi • I am the mother to a two and a half year old boy and expecting a little girl on February 28th! 👏💙💜
I went in for an induction on Friday 12am, got the ball rolling. Seemed to be slowly progressing. At 2 pm my cervix was checked and only at 4cm. I got an epidural. The next check scheduled at 6pm. At 515 I noticed the urge to push but felt like it was nothing. After 15 minutes I finally called the nurses in and sure enough baby's head was right there. I pushed three times, needed an episiotomy because her HR went down a bit and she was here! Much easier delivery than my first.
Unfortunately I started bleeding uncontrollably and lost 2L of blood. They had 5 doctors and 5+ nurses struggling to stop the bleeding. I am not completely out of the woods yet but my doctor is cautiously optimistic that I won't need a blood transfusion or hysterectomy (thank god, I'm only 25). I'm in severe pain with a balloon in my uterus to try to clog all blood sources. Doc says this is not from induction and would've happened anyway, there's no way to have prevented it.
They took my sweet girl all night and brought her to me to nurse so I could rest, since I can't take are of her on my own. I have a boy at home that my husband is with. My heart is so full. Although overall this delivery was disastrous, I'm so incredibly grateful to have my healthy baby here and at home. 😍👶💜💙
