Not sure what's going on?

I just started my period and I noticed that this time around it hurts a lot when removing my tampon, it hasn't done this before and they are fully absorbed when I take them out. I decided to look around my area, and it looked a little red and seemed a little irritated, I just don't know what this is or what to do about it. Sorry if this is to much information and any info would help☺
