Can you smell your period before it comes?

So this is an odd question but I can always smell the period blood before my period actually arrives. Mind you, sometimes its all outta wack because I'm irregular. So I can smell it a week before I actually get it.

But can you smell it before it arrives too?

I don't actually smell blood but my discharge smells changes I can't describe the exact smell but I know it changes... 
my husband says It gets a musty smell to it oppose to the sweet smell it usually has

I can usually smell it the week before I start too! I’ve always thought it was the strangest thing but a sure sign of getting my period lol. My period is due in 2 days and haven’t smelt it coming.. hopefully it doesn’t! 🤞🏻

I'm about five days over due to my period and I smelled it today... Getting cramps so I'm pretty sure I'll get it... sucks cause I'm ttc...😓

I thought that was so weird my sister would always tell me she can smell her period blood before it comes but I never believed her , but I guess some people can .

Has anyone smelled what they thought was their period at 10 dpo? This TWW is killing me and I swear I "smelled" my hormones changing yesterday but the smell is pretty much gone today.

I always thought I was crazy! I start smelling mine 9 days before my period! Thats how I know its about to come on!

Yes! I couldn’t do this until I had my child, but the last few cycles I can totally smell it, wicked headaches too.😒

I can do this for myself and my mom I can smell blood coming from her but in her case its when shes already having it, but for me, I can smell it roughly a week before I get my period.
