Oral pill to help induce labor?

FTM here and I am 40+5 and I went to my OB today and still 1cm as has been for pass 3 visits. She schedualed me to go into hospital tomorrow night at 730 pm to get induced by an oral pill? And if that doesnt work by friday morning then they are going to use pitocin to induce me. Has anyone ever heard of this oral pill? Is it the bill that they stick next to your cervix? Or is it one you swallow? Figured oral means ones you swallow. Thank you :)

I was induced by starting out with cytotec and it was given to me orally. It caused mild period cramps for me. I was then given pitocin the rest of the induction
