Anyone given blood before?

My school is doing a blood drive tomorrow and I signed up. Anyone ever done it before? What is it like?

Yes many times! It's not to big of a deal. Your arm may feel a little tired for the rest of the day and you have to keep your activity for the day calm. But otherwise it's a very rewarding experience :)

Make sure to eat a snack a little before hand, it'll help with dizziness.If you start to feel faint or anything speak up asap.

I have given blood for tests, but not for donations as I have low iron. It shouldn't really hurt at all to give blood. Drink plenty of water.

It isn't bad at all, just make sure you stay hydrated beforehand! Also make sure you know pretty accurately how much you weigh, they use that to determine how much blood they can take. I hadn't weighed myself for a long time once before I was donating and I ended up overestimating by like 15 lbs. I got really faint and light headed haha, I was fine after sitting a few minutes and drinking some juice but it's better to just avoid that altogether

I have. Make sure you eat a lot and drink a lot of water before. Follow their instructions during. And always make sure you sit at least 10 minutes after and eat the snacks and drink the water. It's not that bad

I wanted to do it but unfortunately i didnt meet the requirements, but i heard that you barely feel it. I was the person walking around handing out juices and food afterwards too, it honestly isnt that bad. Props to you for donating!
