Paragard?

I'm getting Paragard inserted on Monday & while I'm TOTALLY stoked to get it in, I'm horrified about it. I've heard all these horror stories of people saying that the insertion hurt more than childbirth???? I have pretty bad cramps regularly, but often opt to just muscle through them. Any tips? Experiences? I just need some reassurance that it's not as scary as it's made out to be... 😭
