Anyone else being Induced at 39 weeks?

Question

I'm being induced if little man doesn't arrive on his own by week 39 due to a velamentous cord insertion. I'm currently 36 w 5 days. Anyone else have this or been through this?

I will fight being induced with every ounce of power I have. Unless there is a medical reason - sound medical reason - I will refuse induction and will refuse petocin until I'm blue in the face. I will not hesitate to find a new doctor at 37, 38, 39 weeks if they want to induce for no sound medical reason. Petocin is way overly prescribed and leads to way more c-sections when intervention didn't need to be involved in the first place. I'm not judging anyone else - just my opinion. 🙌

I'll be induced at 39 weeks for no medical reasons, I was given the option and I'm taking it, of course only because he's healthy and growing just fine. This is my 3rd and final baby and I'm just over it at this point.

Csection at 39w also...had shoulder dystocia with my daighter and my pubic bone was broken and never healed properly...we almost lost her and they are certain this baby can't come out that way...plus I'm getting tied so it'll all be done at once...first ever csection and I'm terrified

I was induced at 38 with my first (he has a heart condition) and at 39 with my 2nd, just because he was already huge and I couldn't wait any longer. No medical issues. I'm 35 weeks and baby is about 7 lbs already, so I most likely will be induced at 39 again in a couple weeks. Just my personal decision. Everyone has a different opinion on induction. Let other people have their opinions, and do what you believe is right for you. :)

I was induced a week early with my last due to baby size so most likely I will again with this one or I'll end up csectioning
