weaning at 6 month?

Do you wean at exactly 24 weeks or 6 months to the date? So my baby was born 1st December, she'll be 24 weeks on 18th may but 6 months on 1st June...
Hope this makes sense lol

I am feeding my daughter at 6 months, I'm going to do baby led weaning, but when do I class her as 6 months? 24 weeks is 6 months which would be the 18th of may but she was born 1st of December so 1st of June should be 6 months... which date would you go on her being 6 month? Like injections they count the months in weeks not by the date...

When they're 6 months old. My son was born feb 3 he will be 6 months on august 3.

We started after his 6 month bday. If the recommendation was in weeks, they'd have specified the number of weeks instead of months.

I started all 3 of my boys at 6 months and it's a great time for solids. I do very few puréed foods because by 6 months, baby can self feed.
