My boyfriend says love isn't a risk and only a journey. I disagree. Thoughts?

Yes, of course it's a journey, but I also believe you need to be prepared to be taking emotional risks, like committing or giving yourself and your feelings to someone.

A journey doesn't imply all hearts and roses there can still be bumpy roads but you have to keep moving forward so yeah I pick journey

I truly don't think it's risky if you're with the right person. And as much turmoil as people put themselves through, it's not hard to figure out if they are right for you or not. Some just struggle more than others.

I can see where you're coming from. Yes, love is definitely a journey and love changes over time. When you really love someone, you open yourself to be vulnerable. It can be a risk to make yourself vulnerable to someone, but hopefully we choose to love people that won't take advantage of that vulnerability. So in tht case of true, mutual love, any risk is significantly diminished.
