Disposable underwear/pull-ups post-labor?

From what I hear, many women are reccomending disposable underwear for the bleeding after birth instead of the mesh stockingette and pads they give you at the hospital. I hear they're super uncomfortable and most end up with a chapped bottom! Sounds like something I'll be wanting to avoid with everything else going on. Anyone have any recommendations on brands? I plan on using pads with them to hopefully make them last a more than a an hour or two.
