Significant other name tattoo?

Would you ever get each others names tattooed or surprise then other with their name on your body?

My SO and I are getting a couple's tattoo. Mine is going to say "All you need is love" and his will say "Love is all you need". That way they can stand alone as tattoos, if, god forbid, something happens between us.

The ONLY person's name I would EVER tattoo on me would be my dad's name or if I had a child- my child's. Not my husband's or anyone else's. Unfortunately, there is always a chance that you WONT be together for ever. I have a former co-worker who had an ex's name on her arm.... They were together for 6 years... They broke up. She got it covered up about two months later and started dating someone else.... Not even two months into that relationship she went and got THEIR initials on her. What a moron. They've broken up and gotten back together at least 4 times in the past two years.

I have many friends who unfortunately have ex's names on their bodies. It's s stupid stupid thing to do.

Me and my husband have each other's name. Mine in a more sacred place and my name on him is on his ribs, symbolizing that I am his rib. I do not regret it one bit, tho it was scary because we got them after only being together for three months but by then we had already known we were each other's forevers

My husband has my name on his chest it's sweet but I thought it was a crazy idea lol I don't think it's a good idea because as much as we love eachother now and I couldn't imagine being without him, I still don't know what will happen in the future...

I would never get a name tattooed, unless it were my child's. 
My boyfriend and I are getting similar tattoos. He's getting a male lion and I a female lion, to show strength and security. 
That way if something does happen, I won't feel like a moron for having his name permanently on me.

I know someone who got their daughters name tattooed in their arm before she was born. The parents broke up before she was born and the mother changed the babies name out of anger. So now he has a name tattooed on his arm and no child with that name....so while the only name I would suggest getting tattooed on your body is a child, I would still be really careful about when.

I would NEVER get my husband's name put permanently on my body. I love my husband, and want to spend the rest of my life with him, but I don't know what the future holds and I wouldn't want to be left with that kind of marking if we should ever go our separate ways.

I'm a crazy chick I have my man's name on my body twice ! lol the first one I got done after we'd only been together a few months and it's on my hip the 2nd I had done on holiday last year and that was his name in a heart on my left boob 💗 neither are big tattoos and if we ever did decide to split they arnt something I can't cover up , he went to get my name but he freaked out he's a bit of a wimp and when he heard the tattoo gun start he nearly passed out it was so funny ! The bloke ended up refusing to tattoo him because he went so green and sweaty it was hilarious actually , poor thing he's such a wimp and worrier
