enlarged kidney?!

Anyone else get their results from their 24 week scan (I know super late) & were referred to aa specialist for a level 2 ultrasound?!!! Dr said my baby boy showed enlarged kidneys

My son has this and it was noted on my 20 week scan. I went back at 22 weeks to confirm and they were in the mild/moderate side. True, nothing can be done while pregnant, but it's important to monitor. According to my specialist, of all the health issues your little one could have this is very mild (and often remediates  itself before birth) so try not to stress. It's also more common in males than females. I go back next week at almost 27weeks for another level 2 scan. I'm trying to stay positive and enjoy getting to see my baby more often. :)

My 4th had an enlarged kidney, lots of extra ultrasounds before and after birth, he ended up having surgery a few weeks before he turned 2, he's now 10 and you wouldn't even know 😁

I also had my ultrasound and they also said the baby's kidney was enlarged. I went to the specialist & confirmed that it was enlarged. They said they won't be able to do anything now only when baby is born and do an ultrasound. They wanted me to go back in 4 weeks. But we chose not to go because every time we go, we have to pay $300 and they are just not going to do anything about it now.
