Bassinet? help me

Question

Do I need to buy a bassinet? Or will I just need a crib? I want a bassinet but they only hold your baby until it gets 15lbs. Not sure what to do. Any advice/opinions/experiences welcome :) I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the different things you need for baby 😕

I'm getting a pack and play that has a bassinet that sets on top. When you can't use the bassinet anymore you can use the pack and play.

I have a bassinet and then I'll be putting her in a crib a lot of people start out in the crib though you don't NEED a bassinet

Cosleeper for next to my bed for the first months, then crib in his nursery for after.

We just used a rock n play for the first week.  We moved to the own room and crib really quick though, not immediately but pretty close!

If you are wanting baby in your room for a few months then a bassinet may not cut it. They have such a low weight tolerance that you only get maybe one or two months use. We got a bassinet for free from our cousin but we bought a pack and play that has an insert for baby to sleep higher and will be using that in our bedroom for a while before going to crib

I coslept with my daughter and then transitioned her to a crib! This time I moved the crib to my room and will try sleep training from the start.. not sure how it will go but honestly I had pack and play and only used it when we traveled! Had little small bassinet but only let my daughter sleep in it during naps when I could monitor her
