So when does the third trimester start? Is it 27 or 28 weeks ?

So many charts say 27 weeks. Plus mathematically it makes more sense than 28 weeks, with regards to pregnancy being 40 total

I go by this - 40x7 = 280
280 divided by 3, then divided by 7 is 13.3. So when I am 13+2, I count that as the day 2nd tri starts and on 26+4, when 3 tri starts. And that's how I've done not with all three of mine now.

You will find many answers. Some say 26 and some say 28. Lol. For me it starts at 28 weeks and that's also when my midwife starts my third trimester :)

Technically, the 3rd trimester begins at 27wks 4d. That's why a lot of people are back and forth with the 27th and 28th week.
