How early can you get an ultrasound?

We have an appointment next Friday, I'll be exactly 6 weeks. I see that some of you were able to have an ultrasound that early. I have a retroverted uterus, and it took us over a year to conceive. I called and inquired about having an ultrasound at the first appointment and was told they don't normally do them at the first appointment if you're that early. How were you ladies able to get an ultrasound at the 1st appointment?

This is my very first pregnancy, having the first ultrasound on may 2nd, I'll be 6 weeks and 2 days

My doctor did mine at 6 weeks. I have a history of miscarriage and he's a good family friend (he was there when me and twin were born and he delivered my younger brother). I feel lucky that I have him as a doctor because I can't imagine waiting until 12+ weeks to see if everything's okay.

I guess it depends on the office?? My 1st appt is May 3rd when I'm 8 weeks (8 weeks as of April 29) and they said they will do an U/S. So I'm hoping they do.

I had one at my first appointment at 5 weeks. It wasn't due to complications or bad history, so I guess it depends on the doctor you go to. We could only see a blank space at the time which is where the baby will grow and are going back next week to hopefully hear a heartbeat ❤️

I had a transvaginal ultra sound at 6weeks 1 day I went in at 4 weeks because of extreme cramping, when they checked my hcg levels they where low but doubling so at 6 weeks 1 day they had me come in just to make sure everything was going good!

I'm in the USA and just had a transvaginal ultrasound at 7w. Here I think it really depends on the office you go to. We were able to hear and see the heartbeat.

It must depend on the office... all of my experiences with that have been different. My first pregnancy my doctor only did one ultrasound, at 16 weeks. My second pregnancy was a miscarriage and I found out with an ultrasound at the ER. My third pregnancy I had them at every monthly checkup but they quit once I went to weekly and I only got the copies a couple times. This pregnancy I have an ultrasound scheduled at my appointment on Monday at 6w1d. But this pregnancy is different because I'm getting in as soon as I found out, my other full term babies I waited until I was in my second trimester to even go and would have with my miscarriage too. It's a little bit different when you're an adult that knows what you're doing versus a kid that has to have your parents there.

I got an early scan because I have very irregular periods and I couldn't go off my LMP for the due date. They had to do a scan to see how far along I was!

My doc won't do one until 10 weeks so about 4 1/2 weeks for me five or take. My first appointment is may 4 but it's just paperwork and blood test.
