Catholic first communion??

Please help -- what's a good present for my nephew (almost 8 years old) for his first communion (Catholic)? In my religion, this isn't a big deal for us the way it is in Catholicism. We don't celebrate it.  So I'm a little lost on what to give...

A cross? A rosary? A little bit of money. Those were things I got.

We gave my cousin money for him to get what he wanted. It's hard to get a gift for a communion.
