Conception after IUD

I graduate undergrad in 15 days, start grad school in August.... it's not time but we're thinking about taking my IUD out in September to start trying for a little one 🤗. Any advice? For women who tried to conceive after an IUD how long did it take to succeed? From my research it says 4-6 months after removal. How did everything go for you all? I'm trying to figure out the best time to take it out.
