A girl on FB made a status that expressed her extreme annoyance towards women that call their boyfriends their fiancé/husband/hubby. She went on to say that unless you have a ring you don't deserve the titles of wife/ husband/ fiancé because you have not "earned" them. Many women agreed with her disgust and mentioned how it makes women look desperate and immature. They went on to say how girlfriends aren't on their level as wives. The OP continued saying how women need to stay in their own lanes and unless they've earned the title of being a wife they shouldn't call themselves one. Is there hierarchy regarding relationships. I mean I know some people that have been with their SO 10 + years and live as husband and wife with families and everything. Are they not "on the level" of marriage ? Are women only validated through marriage when it comes to relationships ? I look at it as a figure of speech and not that deep but since so many women agreed, I'm interested to know other women's thoughts.
