Question

When/why did you return to your OB after having a baby?

I left my doctor for a midwife/birth center during my pregnancy, but before getting pregnant I think I was going annually to renew my BC pills prescription... I know I need to wait until I'm done breastfeeding to get back on the pill, is there any reason why I'd need to go back to my OB before that?

*Sorry I totally didn't clarify 😝 I'm 5 months pp I've had my 2 and 6 week appointments but my midwives don't go any further than that... I was asking when I'd return for a regular, non pregnancy related appointment!

i went at 3 weeks postpartum to get on birth control pills and im going back tuesday to find out about a birth control.

is there any reason youre not taking the pills while breastfeeding? im only wondering cause im breastfeeding too and dont wanna take them if it affects my son

I have been back tons for acute care, but my PP visit was February 2nd and o go back for my annual in June.

I had my 6 week appointment on February 9th and will go back in June for my Pap smear

I'm 2 months pp and went back at 6 weeks for my follow-up. I started progestin-only birth control a week ago and so far haven't had any issues with milk production.

Yes you need a 6 or 8 weeks post partum check up its important to make sure you are healing correctly and to make sure everyrhing is going back to normal you can get on birth control while breastfeeding its called the mini pill

I switched to a midwife as well. I know see her for all my well women care. Pap, birth control, breast exams...

Unless your midwife/birth center does it, you need to go so they can check if you're healing correctly.
