is brown spotting normal at this stage?

Hi ladies! This is my second pregnancy but this time I'm having twins. I'm between 9 and 10 weeks pregnant and am having brown spotting and or brown discharge. It's not a lot but it's been going off and on (mostly on) for like 6 days now without being in any pain. I went to the doctors but they didn't seem worried and just told me to be on a modify bedrest. I've read that you tend to have more bleeding with twins but I'm just wondering if anyone has also had this.  Thanks for your info!
