Successful relationships between Muslims and non Muslims?

Question

So I've casually dated a few Muslims, nothing serious. And I have a date tomorrow with a Yemeni I've known for a year and I'm excited because I really like him. My best friend has a Pakistani that wanted to date her but she decided not to because she's Mexican Catholic and she decided their cultures wouldn't mesh. I'm just curious to hear experiences from y'all and how you work with it.
1. No hate. I know a lot more than most people about their religion and see nothing worse than with Christianity 
2. I'm aware that Muslims aren't supposed to date but guess what, some choose to.

My husband and I have been married a year, and been together 5. I was raised Muslim and he was raised Baptist - we respect one another's beliefs and backgrounds but have agreed that spirituality is much more important than labels. We are expecting a child now and look forward to raising open minded, God loving children. 
I visit church with him on Sundays, and he has been to the masjid upon occasion. Our experiences in each other's places of worship vary as people's open mindedness and warm welcomes fluctuate. 
After having been together this long and sharing our views on religion our beliefs have aligned. 
Religion is very personal and should not be pushed on SO, children, acquaintances. We look forward to growing as a couple - spiritually, as husband and wife, and as parents.

Ive been with my boyfriend for nearly 8years. Im a muslim girl but have not practised since i got with him. My family dont agree us being together as he is white. Havent seen my family over 5 years. We have a gorgeous 6yr old daughter who my family dont know about. We are very happy. I tell my daughter all the time about my family and wishing one day they will accept and get to know her and my partner.

I know a couple that make it work. Granted neither are very religious. They've had a number of issues between them concerning beliefs but they seem very happy together- it's been about 3 years now I think.

Personally I could do it. I'm Catholic and from my experience (I lived overseas in the Middle East growing upon Muslim countries so I was pretty immersed in the religious practices and beliefs) Islam and Catholicism are just too different for me. But if you're wiling and he's willing to work on the relationship and the differences you have then you've got a chance at making it work. But you both have to be respectful of each other's beliefs and willing to discus how religion will come into your lives (eg: how will you raise your kids religiously).
