Should I take a test?

So my period has not been coming regularly for a while and it's been over a month since I logged one. I had pre period pains 3 weeks ago and no period. I do have sex semi regularly but we always use a condom. I want someone's opinion on what I should do. Wait to see if my period will come soon (which the app says the end of the week) or should I get a home test to take. Thanks
