mid cycle bleeding

Has anyone had bleeding around 2 weeks after their period (that is very very dark brown) and turns out it was their period and they skipped the next month???

I'm 1 week late for my period and experienced that bleeding. I was wondering if that might have been my period but just really early and lighter than usual.

Ps. It was wayy to heavy to be implantation bleeding. It filled a pad and lasted around 4 -5 days
