castor oil?

I've read a load of post with different opinions on castor oil, I'm 4 days away from my due date and I've tried everything to get things going but nothing 😔 my question is if I take some laxatives (on iron tablets and makes me constipated) will this work the same as castor oil or not? Thanks for Any advice or suggest in advance 😌

DO NOT try castor oil. Not only will you be a pooping machine, it's not safe for you and baby. Baby will come when it's ready-a due date is just an estimate (: I tried everything in the book and my first still came at 41.5 weeks. Baby continues to get nutrients until about 41.5/42 weeks anyway❤️ enjoy the belly(hard to believe, but you WILL miss it!) and the time to do whatever you want! Watch shows and enjoy❤️ baby will come😘

Alright so I'm gonna be the odd one out on this one haha I had my daughter in 2014 and It was the day before my due date and family members suggested castor oil. So I tried it and walked like 3 miles that night. It did not make me shit my brains out or dehydrate me... well I drank a bunch of water cuz I was walking all night. That next morning at 3am I went into labor and had my baby girl.... don't knock it until you try it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I heard it can dehydrate you and make labor pain worse and it can make the baby poop while still inside you which is not good! It's not worth the risk in my opinion!

Taking laxatives and castor oil are not safe. They will dehydrate the fuck out of you. You do NOT wanna be dehydrated before labor for so many reasons. One of which is that dehydration itself causes contractions but not labor so you could be experiencing all the fun of contractions but then they're not doing anything productive for you. I wouldn't try this at all.

And no laxatives or iron. Things like that work on flukes. Nothing is proven to help. Babies are mysterious and come as they please! Haha
