sleep nursing

Da
I've posted but nobody has said anything.... my 5 month old will only nurse when she's asleep or drowsy (has to have eyes closed).   Yes I thought she was changing her pattern, she goes 3-4 hours during the day but eats every 2 hours at night. I've gotten her to the point where she will latch when awake but pulls off with let down and won't relatch even if we wait for it to pass. I've tried different positions, standing, bouncing, rocking chair, dark, light, waiting until 4 hours... nothing. Yesterday she was fussing and hungry but wouldn't nurse (I tried for 30-45 mins) I had to put her to sleep even though it wasn't time for a nap. She's been doing this for 1.5 months after going on a nursing strike. I believe it's now affecting her sleep too cuz she wants to nurse a lot at night sometimes she'll wake to nurse an hour but can't because she's full. Before the nursing strike she loved nursing and was such a good sleeper. She did have issues with vomiting when she was 1-3 months old but that's gone now. She has had blood in her stool (3x), all tests came back negative and her doctor says it's normal. I made an appointment to get a second opinion but that's not until may. I've talked to the public health nurse, la leche league leader and have just contacted a private LC. I'm really becoming exhausted and very upset as I am a huge breastfeeding advocate and want to nurse through her toddler years. I'm also hesitant to introduce solids as I don't want that to negatively impact our BF relationship. Please I really do need advice.
