When my son was 2 weeks old we were admitted back to the hospital for a fever that later turned out to be GBS, thankfully after 3 failed attempts at a lumbar puncture they were able to rule out meningitis . He received 2 weeks of antibiotics through a picc line. Emotionally I was drained and felt alone even though my husband was with us. I felt that no one knew the pain I was going through seeing my son on the hospital table and seeing him poked and prodded day in and day out. Sleepless nights and not to mention just being hormonal. Mentally I've been messed up, I have the fear that he will get sick again but have left it up to God's grace. For a moment I was tiptoeing into postpartum depression but thankfully was able to bypass it. Now he is 2 months old and doing amazing. I am now able to talk about the whole ordeal without crying.
