So I've just been taking the pill and skipping the placebo week for a while now. I absolutely hate having my period because mine is on the very severe side. I've had that checked out and there's nothing medically wrong with me, my periods are just on the extreme end of the spectrum.

So my doctor told me I should have it about every 3 months and she couldn't really give me a straight answer as to why I can't just not have it other than "it's good to refresh yourself every few months"

I don't know what that means and I haven't been able to find a credible online source that says anything about something bad happening to those who choose to skip the placebo pills.

I've had absolutely no side effects from taking the pill. I'm even on a higher dose of estrogen because of the severe period thing.

Does anyone else just choose not to have it? Have you ever hard of bad side effects from not using the placebo week?
