I have a terrible tooth infection and will be getting a root canal.  My dentist prescribed me amoxicillin and told me that I couldn't breastfeed.  When I asked my pharmacist she said the same thing and told me to even wait a few days after finishing my medication before resuming breastfeeding my LO.  Everything I have read says it's ok and that I can continue nursing as long as I keep an eye on any possible side effects on the baby.  I don't know what to do.  A part of me says not to breastfeed and a part of me says they're exaggerating.  I'm thinking of calling th pediatrician just to make sure.  Has anyone been in a similar situation?
