After about a month and a half my doctor finally scheduled my d&c for Tuesday. I was 12 weeks and I was told I had a silent miscarriage and it's been so hard for me and my fiancé. Can someone tell me what I should expect after the d&c?

First, I am sorry for your loss. To answer your question: The D&C is a pretty fast procedure. I had one on March 12th after I lost my baby at 12 weeks. I was asleep and didnt feel anything. I woke up about 2 or so hours later.. ate some crackers and drank some water and was sent home. I bled and spotted for a total of 2 weeks. No sex, no tampons or anything like that. I did have some bad cramps a day or two after but just took about 800mg of Advil. It took about 6 weeks to get my period again. (I cried when I finally got it again! I was both sad and happy).

Overall, I feel the D&C was the easiest part. Physically I think Ive healed but emotionally is a WHOLE 'nother story! Good luck to you. May God give you strength!

It depends on how your procedure goes, but it should be fine. It's very straightforward, and only takes about an hour, and then 30-60 minutes for the anesthesia to wear off. I felt back to 100% two days after my D&C, at least health-wise. My doctor sent my husband in errands so that he wouldn't just sit there worried. He got back right as I was waking up. I had almost no bleeding, although some women have lots. Like I said, it depends a lot on you and your body, but I wouldn't stress too much. I am sorry for your loss 💜

I had mine on January 16.  It was physically very easy.  I had conscious sedation and literally walked into the surgery center and out of the surgery center in less than 2 hours.
