I knew better than to test!!

So I ovulated on the 12th, I've cramped for 2 weeks now (at times it was so bad enough to lay down), and AF was due on Thursday (its Monday). I've never really been late and just couldn't resist. But of coarse BFN. I just don't feel normal! Am I just crazy?! I cramp, im tired, moody isn't the word! The cheapo test is what I'm using. Would it be worth getting a pricey one?? Anyone else able to stare at a test till you make yourself see 2 lines?!!
