The not well described process.

Rebecca
So I thought I miscarried on Thursday night of last week. I bled a lot and cramped a little. We had been told that the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and I just completed week 9 last week so it was all making sense. Well yesterday evening I started cramping like a normal period so I figured I was losing the lining.
But about an hour and a half ago I awoke to severe pain! This is like a mini labor! I have painful contractions and clots bleeding out. It's so weird, but also really distinct. I would have thought someone in the medical profession would have told me it would feel this way!
How come only one person out of a bunch (including my obgyn) said nothing about it being like this? Is it really different for many women? Or do we all experience the sadness of giving labor to a stillborn in this way and no one forewarns us? I'm just curious if I'm the only one who felt really ill informed.
