Am I to young?

Question

I feel like people will think I am to young to be having babies. I don't want to tell my family or friends that I going to be trying to conceive soon out of fear of judgement. I will be 20 years old in a few months.
Im getting married June 9th.
My man and I work together, hes his own boss, so we make killer money and we are financially stable. So I have all of the things I need if I get pregnant. I, myself, feel as if I am ready. I just fear judgement if I was to talk to someone about my ttc journey.  
Anyone else to afraid to tell people your trying?

Well, I'm 21, husband is 25. We live on our own, pay our own bills, both have transportation and full time stable jobs. And we're pregnant. I say it depends on the person. At this point, I've done the partying, I've traveled to different countries, I've done so much and don't feel like I'm missing anything. But I'd say if you fear judgement, wait. You don't ever want to second guess your decisions and judgement is the first thing you're going to get.

If you live on your own, and pay ALL of your own bills, then it's nobody's business....if you having a baby does not disturb anyone else's work/play/living schedule then you are ready. go for it

Personally, I think it's too young. Don't get me wrong, financial stability is incredibly important, and lack of it is one of the major reasons not to have a child when you are too young, but there are other types of stability that come from brain development, life experience, and being comfortable with yourself. There are also statistics that show the high failure rate of young marriages, numbers which are heavily impacted by having a baby that young. I'm sure ppl will talk about the 35 year olds who don't have their lives together and blah blah blah, but those ppl are exceptions to what should be the case (essentially losers haha), whereas there are plenty of 20 yr olds who are great kids, but will make much better parents in several years than they will right now -- that is normal and does not reflect negatively on a 20 yr old. All of that being said, if your only concern is that family and friends will disapprove, whatever their feelings are at first (and, as I said, I don't believe their lack of excitement to be unfounded), most people are going to love your baby in the end.

If you have your shit together than just do you. I get the same thing. Im almost 21 and we have been ttc since i was 18. We have finacial stability, a great home and would just like to expand our family. We havent told any family members. If you feel like its the right time and you can properly take care of the baby then go for it.

I would say not. I'm 20 turning 21 in July & My fiancé is 21 turning 22 in May & we are on our journey now. I honestly don't see why people say wait & have a fun life when we can have a GREAT life with our little family. I'm not going to regret that I didn't travel. If it's what you & you're husband have talked about & agree about 100% & are stable enough to give your child what they need then by all means!

I believe you can be ready but if you want my honest opinion I would wait a couple of years. Take some time to just enjoy your new husband, travel, and have the excitement of turning 21 with your friends. You can pull off having a baby of course but it will make having a lot of other experiences difficult. Not saying it happens for every young mother, but there's a lot I know who wish they could have had more opportunities when it comes to that stuff.
