Water Birth?

Question

I have an appointment May 9th at a Birth Center to hopefully have a water birth. I'm excited yet nervous. My first was a hospital birth with pitocin and an epidural so I have no idea what to expect or how to prepare.
Has anyone had a water birth or a drug free birth in general? Any tips?

I had a home water birth with my first and it was the best thing ever. Best decision ever. The water was so relaxing and calm and helped with contractions so much. Although with that said, I got in the birth pool too soon at first and it stalled my labour so I had to get out. I laboured for a few more hours and then got back in when it was go time. I delivered him in the water and didn't feel him crowing or the ring of fire, and I didn't tear either. I truly believe that's all due to being in the water. It helped so much. I look forward to doing it all again in about 4 months!

I had a hospital birth, but I did hypnobirthing, no meds at all and labored in a tub. It was incredible! There was a lot of pressure but overall it was a pain free birth! Highly recommend at least laboring in the tub! I went from 5 cm to 9 in less than 2 hours when I was in the tub!

I would absolutely love to water birth! I'm giving birth in a military hospital though and I don't think it's in my cards 😭
