Premature baby giving birth at 35 weeks???

Question

I need to know what to expect? Talked to dr today and him and high ricks dr are going with me having our baby girl at 35/36 weeks. The 36 weeks is what im going to try to push for. I have questions and wanna know what anyone that has gone threw this knows?  What would a baby tis premature need? Can i breakfeed still. Is the lunge risk like really big or not really?? I just need any information

I had my son at 35 wks and he came home with me. No nicu time at all. Just some extra testing to be sure all was good. Not all babies at that stage will require nicu.

Had my son at 34 weeks. He is healthy. Stayed in nicu for 5 days. 5 pounds. Now three weeks later he is 6.8 pounds doing good. Pray you guys will be fine

You will have a NICU stay probably. Ours was a week but still hell. You will be able to breastfed but you may have to pump too. I did both cuz I couldn't be there often enough. But you might have to use a shield starting out.

I've had two 35 weekers.  First was 35+5 and only stayed one extra day because he struggled to regulate his body temperature.  We also had to do more weight checks as he struggled to gain weight.  Second was 35+4 and spent 10 days in NICU.  He came home on a monitor and in a car bed because his heart rate dropped when he sat up for very long.  He is 4 now and other than having asthma and allergies he is a healthy child.

I had my daughter at 32 weeks and she was discharged when she was 35 weeks ! She was discharged at almost 6lbs and she's now 7. Never had to stay in the oxygen while in the nicu. Just had to gain weight and grow :)

It really depends on your baby hun.  Usually babies have immature lungs and brain development at 35/36 weeks and will need time in the nicu.
You can still nurse baby if baby can latch,  otherwise you'll need to pump.  The hospital will have lactation consultant

I had my second child and 36 weeks and she is now 2 and happy and healthy when she was first born she needed a little extra time to regulate her body temperature and blood sugar on her own we spent 4 days in the hospital and she needed to pass the car seat test because she was only 5lbs

I know a few people that gave birth at 35 weeks, their babies were perfectly fine and healthy , they were able to go right home . But of course every baby is different. It will be fine

Everybaby is different from what im reading. Its just going to be about how well she has grown... still a huge amount of stress. But we will see . Thank you all
