Stomatitis? I just got diagnosed with it yesterday. It's painful clusters of ulcers on your gums, cheeks, lips, & tongue. It can be caused by a number of things: biting your lips/cheek, burning your mouth, acidic/spicy foods, stress & HSV1. I get cold sores but they don't know if that's what's causing mine. They took a swab & I'll find out the cause in 5-6 days. They gave me antibiotics & a lidocaine rinse to numb my mouth. It's extremely painful to eat, drink, & brush my teeth. It can also be painful to talk sometimes. Does anyone have this? Can someone give insight on it? What helped yours hurt less & heal faster?
