So my newest little one is 5 weeks old, and we are a family of 7. My mil said she wanted to ride with me to pick up one of my kids from school today and once we were driving throws out the "I wanted to ride with you so I could talk to you." Then she proceeds to ask why we don't bring the baby to visit them and why they have to come to our house. I mean she's just 5 weeks old! I told her aside from the fact that cold and flu season is just ending and we weren't taking her out much to keep her from getting sick, I'm taking care of a family of 7 with absolutely no help! I don't have a ton of time to take her out to visit people. I have always felt that if people want to visit a new baby, they go to the baby, not expect the baby to be brought to them. They're healthy, able bodied people. How do others feel about this? Am I wrong to feel this way? I was upset about it and felt it was pretty rude.
