My baby is tongue tied :( what do they do?

So we figured out my little one is tongue tied and we will see an oral surgeon soon. What do they do? How is the recovery? He has been clicking worse and worse with breast feeding. So I asked his doctor what was going on. He took a look and will require surgery to clip it.

Omg! Finding out my son is tongue tied too.. it was harder to find out because he was never breast fed. He also has a white film over his tongue that is not thrush.

For us the pediatrician came in the NICU room, put a drop of numbing liquid under her tongue, inserted a tool to lift her tongue and snipped the tissue. Whole process took less than a minute. Our baby was more upset with the tool than the snipping. She is now able to feed much better. Wish I had gotten it done with my firstborn.

They put the baby to sleep it takes about 5 minutes and then done my daughter had a severe tongue tie and we got her surgery done she did amazing they do not use any needles at all

With my daughters she got a spray type of numbing medicine, & then a shot of numbing medicine. She didn't cry at all. Then the surgeon just clipped it. It took less than 5 minutes. We gave her Tylenol for a few days and she was 100% fine. Nursing became exponentially easier!
