Why am I lying if they didn't do it?

Honestly, there is no point in both of us going to prison. I would do everything I could to prove them innocent, but I won't commit a crime for them.

If they didn't do it, yes. If there was even a question about it, no.

If they are innocent, why would you need to lie to assist them?

Yeah?? The oath means f all to me 🤷♂️ and they didn't do anything. Id only lie if there were no other options left though, generally if they didn't do it you wouldn't need to lie.

I'm not breaking the law for someone in that position, regardless of if they also broke the law or not. If they are innocent, someone else will find a way to help them without me putting myself and my conscience on the line.

This is a hard one. If it were a friend then no. But if it were my child or a very close family member then I would. Blood is blood.

Wont ever lie, be it friend or family. Everyone is responsible for their own actions and decisions. Im not going to let them drag me down with them. No reason to lie if they are innocent.
