Okay so this is a little ways off from now but when I get married in a couple years I dont want a wedding. I 100% have always wanted to get married at the courthouse and have a small reception at my parents property. I dont want a wedding dress and I dont want to spend money on one day where I could easily use that money for bills. I have always seen weddings as wastes of money (no offence to anyone, this is my personal opinion). But I feel bad because my dad probably wants to walk me down the isle. My boyfriends parents would probably want it in a church. But what im saying is that if you arent fucking paying for it, then its not happening. Im torn between pleasing others or pleasing myself. My boyfriend is fine with the courthouse but he knows his parents will want a church wedding. I hate weddings but I love marriage. But idk what to do about my family. It is my day right?
