Do you think the age of people TTC is based largely on where they live? (US ppl)

I've noticed a lot of ladies on here that are actively ttc under the age of 21 and I was talking to a few friends about it.
I'm from the Boston area where there is tons of things to do and places to go and I've never come across anyone who was a young parent who intentionally got pregnant.

One of my best friends however is originally from Missouri and she said that a lot of her friends and people in her area had their babies young because there isn't a whole lot to do out there. She said if she didn't join the army at 19 she and her then bf were going to have a baby.

So do you think the area you live has something to do with the age you TTC (not including the accidental pregnancies).

I think it has to do more with education level and income.

Lower educated people ttc earlier because they're not stuck in school, and this often goes hand in hand with low income (inability to afford college), I believe?

On the flip side, for those who go to college and get one or more degrees, the more money you have, the more practical it is to conceive. Money tends to come later in life, though, so these people tend to wait.

Yes, I have anecdotal evidence. I'm from a rural area and everyone there is done having kids by late 20's. I live in a major city and none of my friends here have kids except one who is pregnant with her first. And we're all turning 30. Everyone back home can't believe I haven't had kids yet, whereas here people would consider me a "young mom" if I had them.

I live in Utah. There are a million 19 year old moms.

I'm from Alabama and I'm 28. Compared to everyone I graduated with I'm like a grandmother getting pregnant. Most everyone is already done having kids and purposely had their kids right out of high school or college.

I'm from the south and I definitely think it has a lot to do with where you're from. Every part of the US has a different culture and very different people. In my area, most get married young (I did at 17) and start families young, because most don't go off to college or anything so they're already in their careers at a young age. My husband and I are slightly different than most since he did go off to college, but we still TTC and I'm pregnant now. He is already in his career for the most part, once he gets his degree he will go up significantly in pay and position in his company. 
My sister in law is from New Jersey and she has pointed this out to me before, after she moved down here with my brother. She said up there it's uncommon to see a young married couple or young parents that were planned. People just have different priorities really. And here the cost of living is lower so you're able to provide for a family more easily.

Maybe idk. I'm from new jersey but TTC at 19. But in some places it's more common for families to start out young like in Utah and in the south I believe.

It has to do with education and income level. Not just pregnancy but marriage. People marry and have kids younger when they have less education and lower economic status. I think it's due in part to their family history, if you grew up in a financially unstable situation and had to be an adult too soon, you tend to jump over being a young adult and jump right into marriage and kids. People try to build the lives they didn't have. But ultimately the way to change your future is to not repeat your family history. The worst part is these mature people don't see the mistakes they're making because everyone treats them like adults when they really haven't fully grown up and don't know everything yet.

Um. No. It has nothing to do with it in most cases. It is just when you meet the right person and that has nothing to do with where you live. I didn't meet my now husband until I was 26. Medical issues prevented us from trying as soon as we got married. We have now been trying for 2 years with no luck so far.
