Solid Foods?

I'm currently breastfeeding my LO, and plan to for at least a year. He will be 4 months on Sunday. When did you introduce solids, what kind, and how often?

6 months and just start with veggies.  Introduce them at his pace in small amounts.  No need for cereal it's empty calories that contains arcenic.

It's recommended a minimum of 6 months. My baby didn't really take to solids until closer to a year. Pretty normal for breastfed babies that have full access to mom.

Thank you everyone. Good info. We had to go to an after hours clinic today with him and the Ped on call mentioned starting at 4 months but didn't elaborate. He has colitis and is having a blood draw for a full allergy panel tomorrow to see what's wrong. Good thing we didn't start solids yet.
