Baby formula?

The formula I use says to throw away 2 hours after mixing it up. Anyone know why? My mum used to use the same milk for me when i was a baby and would mix up 7 bottles in the morning and use them all day. Just because my baby takes longer than 2 hours to drink sometimes so we are either wasting milk or having to prepare extra bottles.

Formula goes bad very very quickly, if it sits out for more than an hour or two you need to throw it away. It can sit in a fridge for up to 48 hours though

I'd personally put unused milk in the fridge until next feeding. It's like you pouring a glass of milk, leaving the rest out, and drinking it 2-3 hours later. Milk spoils. Not trying to be rude and I apologize if it sounds rude just putting it in another perspective that's all. So leaving the formula out is just like leaving your milk out, causing bacteria.

Just make smaller bottles. I've left breastmilk out for hours and it smells fine. Formula smells sour after an hour.
